Jason Padgett – Mathematics Savant

Jason Padgett received a concussion from a brutal beating. When he recovered, he found that he was able to visualize complicated mathematical and physics concepts. “I see shapes and angles everywhere in real life. It’s just really beautiful.” He was encouraged by a physicist to take up math studies and is now becoming a number theorist. Various neuroscientists have expressed an interest in studying his brain to understand how he acquired his new expertise.
